Speak of the Devil...

Where to begin? As always, I’ll start at the beginning. I didn’t realize that it has almost been an entire month since I wrote a blog. Not just on SaveAmanda.com, but anywhere. I don’t thing I have even signed my name or written the date, what day is it?

Shortly after my last blog there was a sudden influx of activity on this website. I’m still not sure why, but from what I gather the news story about Amanda being fired was reposted on several other websites and got the pulse beating here again. I would like to thank everyone who has sent Amanda their words of encouragement and also like to thank those who donated to her cause. Things are not great, but they never really were even before the cancer thing. Life is never great, just short burst of good followed always by times of mediocrity and the gaps filled in with misery.

I’d also like to take this time to tell those who decided to send hate mail or leave cruel comments to fuck off. I am a long standing member of the internet society and I get how it works. I have said my share of cruel things about stories that were shared on the web, and were also told to fuck off so now we are even. So that’s why comments and all that hoopla have been disabled but I still get them. Granted the ratio of wishes to name calling was low, and I am not offended by anything on the internet with the exception of cock fingering(yes it exist) I am still not going to let that sort of stuff bring Amanda down. She is way uber sensitive and doesn’t understand how the internet works and that trolling is as natural to the internet as ignorance is to humanity.

Amanda has now finished 5 out of 8 rounds of chemotherapy. The first 4 were one set of drugs and now we are onto the Taxol. It seems to not be as harsh as the AC but it still takes her down for the count, just in a different way. The AC was more nausea and the taxol seems to be more of a weakness and just feeling tired and she complains about her bones hurting. But she gets around a lot more when she is awake and doesn’t seem to be sleeping all the time like the past few months. She has 3 more rounds of this to go and then on to radiation. Which should be a breeze given everything she has already gone through.

Writers block is a bitch, I haven’t really been angry or pissy enough to rant and rave like usual. Like I said things aren’t great, they are really just kind of MEH. I’m trying to focus this update on Amanda and not the other stuff I usually complain about just to keep those who say they are following updated. My humble apologies for the lack of updates. I will be sure to get on more and try to let everyone know what’s going on.
